environmental
and fundraising initiative by saving your used writing instruments for reusing
& recycling (none of which can be recycled locally). Your support will help
us to minimize the amount of waste that ends up in local landfill and help us
to raise much needed funds for education support for the underprivileged
students of Nepal.
We
are already collecting at some locations within valley but by reaching out to
local schools, colleges and businesses we hope to be able to save even more old
pens from landfill and raise more funds for education support for the
underprivileged students. Plus, it can help you work towards zero waste to
landfill targets that we know many businesses are looking to achieve.
All you need is to install a collection box for your used pens to make
sure they don't end up in the general rubbish bin. Once you have a bin in place
let all your staff and students know that all writing instruments (except for
wooden pencils and wax crayons) are being collected in the separate bin. We
will arrange for one of our volunteers to come by once a month or at any time
you find suitable to collect the waste. Or you can simply call us whenever
you need the collected waste to be picked up.
